Harlekin Syndrom - und Asymmetrie (Dysautonomie)

English: Harlequin Syndrome and Autonomic Asymmetry (Dysautonomia)

The images show simultaneously recorded autonomic skin and blood circulation responses with pronounced lateral asymmetry.

Despite identical conditions and being taken at the same time, the left and right sides of the body show different autonomic responses (e.g. blood circulation, piloerection/“goosebumps”).

This illustrates side-dependent and asynchronous autonomic regulation, consistent with dysautonomia.
