Warum Behandlung im Ausland?
Für meine komplexe und sehr seltene neurologische Erkrankung wurden in Deutschland Untersuchungen, und Behandlungen durchgeführt.
Zusätzlich wurden Unterlagen mit ärztlicher Hilfe an verschiedene Zentren u.a. in Deutschland und Europa und außerhalb Europas übermittelt. Nach Sichtung der Unterlagen teilten viele Einrichtungen u.a. mit, dass sie keinen Behandlungsansatz anbieten können oder in meinem Fall nicht weiterhelfen können (dazu kommen Wartezeiten u.a.)
Hierdurch ist insbesondere nach der Behandlung in Israel wertvolle Zeit, Wochen, Monate ins Land gezogen, in der die Erkrankung weiter fortgeschritten ist.
Auch das Berliner Centrum für Seltene Erkrankungen (Charité Berlin) teilte nach Prüfung der Unterlagen mit, dass keine Behandlung angeboten werden kann.

Why Treatment Abroad?
For my complex and very rare neurological disease, extensive examinations and treatments were carried out in Germany.
In addition, my medical records were submitted, with the support of my physicians, to various specialist centers in Germany, across Europe, and outside Europe. After reviewing the documentation, many institutions stated that they were unable to offer a treatment approach or could not provide further medical assistance in my case (in addition to long waiting times).
As a result, especially following the treatment process involving Israel, valuable weeks and months passed during which the disease continued to progress.
The Berlin Center for Rare Diseases (Charité Berlin) also informed me, after reviewing my medical records, that no treatment could be offered.
